The Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia, commonly known as the APHM is an Association representing private hospitals in Malaysia. It has been in existence since 1972 and currently has 113 members throughout Malaysia. It is notable that all of the large hospitals are members of the APHM.
The Association is indeed the voice of the private hospital healthcare sector and works with the Ministry of Health Malaysia and other Ministries in ensuring on equitable provision of hospital services. The APHM also plays an important role in its objective of helping to raise standards of medical care within the country. It sits in the Malaysian Health Tourism Council and is also a founder member of the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH).
APHM will be organizing the APHM International Healthcare Conference and Exhibition 2012 on 17 - 19 July 2012 in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. This annual event, held for the 20th year has the theme: "Re-Thinking, Re-Engaging, Retaining Human Capital, Re-Inventing Leadership". More info at www.aphmconferences.org
