Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed)
The Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed) was founded in 2014 to represent manufacturers and suppliers of medical equipment, devices and in vitro diagnostics, industry associations and other key stakeholders associated with the medical technology industry in Asia Pacific.
Headquartered in Singapore, APACMed is the first and only regional association to provide a unified voice for the medical technology industry in Asia Pacific. APACMed works proactively with bilateral, regional and local government bodies to shape policies, demonstrate the value of innovation and promote regulatory harmonization. It engages with medical device associations and companies in Asia Pacific to jointly advance regional issues, code of ethics and share best practices. APACMed is host to the annual Asia Pacific MedTech Forum.
Association of Indian Manufacturers of Medical Devices (AI-MED)
The Association of Indian Manufacturers of Medical Devices (AI-MED) represents the interests of over 700 Manufacturers of consumables, disposables and diagnostics equipment. The presence of AI-MED allows the Government to access a single point of contact and provide various services to the manufacturers, such as those relating to policy issues, medical device regulations, education and training, quality certification, government funding for R&D, encouraging innovations, improve clinician and patient access to the modern, innovative and reliable medical device technologies through organizing meeting, seminars, symposia, exhibitions and demonstrations and also, to promote global harmonization of Indian device industry.
The Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia (APHM), registered back in 1972, now has over 134 members from all over Malaysia. The APHM is recognised by the Ministry of Health and Government of Malaysia as THE representative of the Private Hospital Sector, taking into consideration of the fact that all major hospital groups and large standalone hospitals are amongst its members. With the continued support of the Government and other agencies, APHM continues to play a very significant role in ensuring quality, patient safety and good governance in its member hospitals. The annual APHM International Healthcare Conference & Exhibition will take place from 31 July to 2 August 2018 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre!
Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association (AHHA)
The Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association (AHHA) is the national voice for public healthcare in Australia. AHHA undertakes research and advocacy, provides consulting and training services and works towards a vision of an effective, innovative and sustainable health system where all Australians have equitable access to healthcare of the highest standard when and where they need it. In October 2018, AHHA will bring together hospital and health service leaders in Brisbane, Australia for the 42nd World Hospital Congress and you are invited to join them for discussions on best practice in hospital and healthcare management and delivery of services. While Australia is known around the world for golden beaches, amazing wildlife and beautiful scenery, it is also a land of invention and innovation. Technological innovations including the electronic pacemaker, disposable syringe, ultrasound, cochlear implant, spray on skin and cervical cancer vaccine were all developed in Australia. Likewise Australia has also pioneered health service delivery including through our famous Royal Flying Doctor Service and through fully digital hospitals. This innovation and more will be on show along with broad global discussions about the future of innovative health service delivery, integrated health care and delivering quality health services in rural and remote areas.
Indian Confederation for Healthcare Accreditation (ICHA)
Indian Confederation for Healthcare Accreditation is a professionally owned and driven Not-for-Profit organisation incorporated as a Section 25 Company. The basic aim of ICHA is to strengthen our health system. Patient Safety is the hallmark of excellence and ICHA’s chosen path to achieve excellence. Addressing comprehensively the complexities of health system requires a collaborative team effort of all stakeholders. ICHA is the National multi-stakeholder Confederation of National Associations/ Institutions for establishing validated excellence in healthcare in line with similar bodies in all developed countries. ICHA comprises all stakeholder groups viz. Providers, Receivers and users, Payers and funders and Educators and regulators. Today all the major National associations (40) of Medical (Clinical, Lab, Admin), Nursing, Pharmacy, Therapy, Consumers, Management and Architects are subscribers. ICHA Patient Safety initiative is an implementation program based on adapted from WHO’s Multi-professional guide on Patient Safety and other global agencies. The program has been contextualized and validated in Indian context through programs all over India.
