Usage of Advance Robotic and EMG-based technologies for in-patient, out-patient and in-bed rehabilitation

EGZOTECH SP Z.O.O.

Date: 9 Dec 2020
Time: 1200 - 1215
Topic: Usage of Advance Robotic and EMG-based technologies for in-patient, out-patient and in-bed rehabilitation
Speaker: Dr. Dominika Kozak, PhD, PT, Clinical Specialist

According to the studies, the amount of training provided to neurological and orthopedic patients during therapy is still insufficient. On the other hand, we also know from research that thousands of repetitions of certain activities are needed to generate neuroplasticity changes. To achieve that, automated therapy has been developed to extend time needed. Implemented training modes like “EMG triggered movement”, allows patients to work actively, even without muscle force and resistance exercises help to improve muscle strength, range of motion, coordination and proprioception.

During the presentation you will learn about the possibilities of new technologies, implemented in Luna EMG and StellaBIO devices, in all stages of rehabilitation, to support physiotherapists in their daily work.

Time: 1030 - 1045
Topic: Sterilisation with UV Light
Speaker: John Ho, Director

Universal agreed UV is a green and non-chemical (free of side-effect) killer of all pathogens, including corona-virus. The only draw back is the potential hazardous risk of hurting eye or skin on long exposure. By keeping UV inside a sealed compartment will have complete sterilization effect & no exposure risk as it allows continuous drawing surrounding air to pass through. Device is installed in-door above eye level, serves as an on-going air-purifying appliance in commercial & residential areas with high cross-contamination possibility. Innovative DLH (Dynamic Lung Hyperinflation) Measurement with Spirometer

FUKUDA SANGYO CO LTD

Date: 14 Dec 2020
Time: 1330 - 1345
Topic: Innovative DLH (Dynamic Lung Hyperinflation) Measurement with Spirometer

Please join our webinar to learn about our new innovative feature, “Dynamic Lung Hyperinflation” (DLH) in our latest desktop spirometer, the SpiroAnalyzer ST-190. DLH is a common phenomenon in COPD patients. The fundamental pathology that causes exertional dyspnea in COPD patients is airflow obstruction and DLH. COPD patients are unable to exhale the inhaled volume as their breathing frequency increases during exertion and it causes air-trapping phenomenon, which increases residual volume in the lungs, causing them to expand. DLH is typically measured with 6-minute walking tests and Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET) but many COPD patients are older and may find it difficult to take these type of exercise tests. The SpiroAnalyzer ST-190 can measure DLH very easily with the patient simply sitting down. We look forward to meeting you online and answering your questions!
