The packaging, LiPore, was developed to solve the current problems of maintaining sterility and cleanliness in medical device packaging. The scientific breakthrough is the Living Pore Technology, which creates a film that can go through sterilization and provide better protection for the medical devices, compared to other available materials.
Unlike other materials, LiPore contains pores which expand during gaseous and plasma sterilization and contract back once removed from the sterilization chamber.
