Mohamed Rehman, M.D., is the Chair of Anaesthesiology at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and a professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, specialising in Anaesthesiology, Critical Care, and Paediatrics. He leads the Perioperative Health Informatics Unit to improve patient safety and care quality. An internationally recognised expert in medical informatics, Dr. Rehman previously established the first biomedical informatics programme in paediatric anaesthesia at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and was a professor at the University of Pennsylvania. He is board-certified in anaesthesiology with subspecialties in critical care and paediatric anaesthesia and holds additional certifications in clinical informatics. Dr. Rehman trained at Mysore Medical College, completed his residencies and fellowships in the U.S., and has authored over 50 publications.

Prof. Moritz Schumann leads the Department of Sports Medicine and Exercise Therapy at Chemnitz University of Technology, Germany. He earned his PhD in Biology of Physical Activity from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, in January 2016 and conducted his post-doctoral studies at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, where he continues as an honorary research fellow. In late 2016, he joined the German Sport University Cologne’s Department of Molecular and Cellular Sports Medicine, completing his habilitation and receiving the venia legendi in (Clinical) Exercise Physiology in 2022. Prof. Schumann is a founding member and co-chair of the European INTERLIVE®-Network, which focuses on developing gold standards for validating wearable devices. He is actively involved in several large-scale EU-funded projects aimed at enhancing wearable technology use in competitive sports and healthcare. He has authored over 90 peer-reviewed scientific publications, 7 textbooks, book chapters, and more than 70 conference abstracts.
